PRINCIPAL ACTIVITY
Glasspro relates to the means and method for protecting glass or polycarbonates from damage caused by flying objects or sources of scratching. This is achieved by the application of a protective film to the surface greatly reducing the need and cost of replacements.
TIME ESTABLISHED
Although this innovative concept is relatively new to New Zealand, the process has been established in the USA for over 7 years. The process takes on average of 1 and a half hours per vehicle and the vehicle is driveable immediately afterwards.
The Directors discovered the product and process during time spent working in America 4 years ago. The product was initially brought back to New Zealand with the intention of fitting it to Reg Smith's Logging Contractor fleet of trucks (a fleet of 30). Other transport companies who were experiencing windscreen breakages and saw the product as a means of reducing costs made approaches to the Directors.
Over the last 2 years the client base of the company has been steadily growing with regular work for application of the product to new vehicles & machines and replacement screens. Glass Pro has diversified during this period and now has anti-vandalism film for the exterior of windows on machines and buildings, also obtaining a superior anti-scratch film for preventing damage caused by etching and graffiti on the interior of buses and on bus shelters. There are over 400 vehicles on New Zealands roads protected by our product. |
